Foundry labourer • Benewah County, Idaho

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Benewah County, Idaho. Day to day you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Performance bonus on top of base pay.
