Crane operator — Awgu

Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane operator in Awgu, Enugu State. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day-to-day duties: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
