Gantry crane operator — Suffolk County

Join our team: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Suffolk County, New York. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging Your main tasks: • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
