On a typical shift you will set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up. Ideal candidate: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Rotating shifts.
