Shakeout operator — Somervell County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Somervell County, Texas. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor The role involves apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities.
