Now hiring: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Putnam County, Illinois. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience.
