Ladle pourer — Franklin County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Franklin County, Nebraska. On the job you will handle: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills Full-time with occasional weekends.
