Semi-automatic welder — Saint Helena Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $22 per hour plus benefits.
