Protective coatings painter • Tama County, Iowa

Join our team: we are hiring a protective coatings painter in Tama County, Iowa. You will work in a paint and spray workshop. You will fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps; prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer; spray emulsion and enamel using HVLP and airless spray guns; hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams; apply primer, undercoat and two topcoats with brush and roller; clean brushes, rollers and spray kit with thinners after each job. What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience as a painter and decorator • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
