Blocklayer — Uhunmwonde

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Uhunmwonde, Edo. Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 2+ years on the tools preferred. ₦285,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
