Tig welder — Washington County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Washington County, Kansas. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. The role involves back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
