Gantry crane operator • Talbot County, Maryland

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Talbot County, Maryland. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. You should have: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) On a typical shift you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL). $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
