Bar bender and fixer — Reading

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Reading, England. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £2,950 per month, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
