Day to day you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test Part-time with flexible hours.
