Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in Atchison County, Kansas. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments What we are looking for: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
