Join our team: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Lake and Peninsula Borough, Alaska. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Your main tasks: • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
