Painter — Avery County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a painter in Avery County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy decorating firm. Requirements: • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec • 2+ years experience as a painter and decorator • Physically fit for standing, bending and reaching all day Your main tasks: • Prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer • Hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams • Apply textured and weatherproof masonry coatings to exterior walls • Sand and fill walls before applying primer • Carry out snagging and touch-ups before handover • Fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps We offer $5,300 per month plus benefits.
