Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Ezinihitte, Imo State. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring.
