Immediate opening: machinist (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Wise County, Texas. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day-to-day duties: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
