Punch press operator — Clinton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a punch press operator in Clinton County, Illinois. You will work in a forging and pressing unit. Day-to-day duties: • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components Requirements: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes 1+ years on the tools preferred.
