Argon welding operator • Ahoada West, Rivers State

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Ahoada West, Rivers State. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Performance bonus on top of base pay.
