Estate gardener — Genesee County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an estate gardener in Genesee County, New York. You will be based in a botanical garden. You will rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs. You should have: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Full-time with occasional weekends.
