Tig welder • Goochland County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Goochland County, Virginia. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Your main tasks: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day 2+ years on the tools preferred.
