Vacancy available: excavator operator (North Carolina)

Join our team: we are hiring an excavator operator in Person County, North Carolina. The job is at a road and highway construction project. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site Day-to-day duties: • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
