Sand plant operator — Houston County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Houston County, Minnesota. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
