Formwork carpenter • Copper River Census Area, Alaska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Copper River Census Area, Alaska. You will be based on a busy high-rise construction site. You should have: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts Day-to-day duties: • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs Part-time with flexible hours.
