Plasterer's mate • Clark County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring a plasterer's mate in Clark County, Illinois. You will be based at a new-build housing development. Day to day you will mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency; patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork; fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads; skim plasterboard to a smooth finish ready for decoration. Ideal candidate: • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline • Proven experience hand-skimming and floating to a flat finish • Able to mix plaster to the right consistency by feel Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $130 per day plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
