The role involves: • Replace exhaust systems and catalytic converters • Check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid • Carry out oil and filter changes • Service and replace timing belts and chains You should have: • Comfortable working in inspection pits and on ramps • Able to read wiring diagrams and workshop manuals • Confident using diagnostic scan tools Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
