Immediate opening: dogger (Indiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a dogger in Crawford County, Indiana. You will be based at a power plant. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Day-to-day duties: • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Full-time, day shift.
