Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Missoula County, Montana. On the job you will handle: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines What we are looking for: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Part-time with flexible hours.
