Urgent requirement: we are hiring a backhoe loader operator in Hinsdale County, Colorado. You will be based at a landfill site. Ideal candidate: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Day to day you will load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; check for underground cables and services before digging; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift.
