Argon arc welder — Josephine County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Josephine County, Oregon. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
