Ladle pourer — Somerset

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Somerset, England. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Full-time, day shift.
