Gas service engineer — Burt County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Burt County, Nebraska. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Driving licence for travel between sites Your main tasks: • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
