Great opportunity: we are hiring a moulder in Starke County, Indiana. The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills Rotating shifts.
