Immediate opening: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Dallas County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather You will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks.
