Argon welding operator • Henry County, Tennessee

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Henry County, Tennessee. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 6+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
