Vacancy available: crane rigger (Kentucky)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane rigger in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather 2+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
