Press operator — Awka South

Immediate opening: we are hiring a press operator in Awka South, Anambra State. The job is on the press shop floor. Your main tasks: • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely What we are looking for: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards Rotating shifts.
