Foundry operative • Carter County, Oklahoma

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Carter County, Oklahoma. On the job you will handle: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
