CNC machine operator — Kent

Immediate opening: we are hiring a CNC machine operator in Kent, England. Requirements: • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor Your main tasks: • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine • Carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges Full-time with occasional weekends.
