Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves: • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors Part-time with flexible hours.
