Vacancy available: shakeout operator (England)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Derbyshire, England. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. On a typical shift you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Rotating shifts.
