Fettler — Wells County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Wells County, North Dakota. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 5+ years on the tools preferred.
