GTAW welder — Pleasants County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Pleasants County, West Virginia. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot You will weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
