Now hiring: we are hiring a steam press operator in Kaga, Borno State. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Your main tasks: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
