Immediate opening: MIG welder (Scotland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG welder in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. Your main tasks: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose You should have: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
