Now hiring: we are hiring an ironing operator in Talbot County, Georgia. The job is at a dry cleaner's. On the job you will handle: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits.
