Offshore rigger — Madison County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Madison County, Iowa. On the job you will handle: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
