Core maker — Slope County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Slope County, North Dakota. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Six days a week, one day off.
